hey man who every painted you car is definitely responsible, i got my car repainted a few weeks ago and the had over spray on my rims. two weeks later i ended up with a new set of wheels..... give them hell you paid you good cash so they owe you ! but as far as the thinner and alcohol i wouldn't do that because alcohol naturally dries things out which will later probably cause your dash to crack and split and it you screw it up its on your *** if the screw it up then they are the ones who need to replace it not you ! good luck let me know how things turn out for you !

WORD!!! -if i hadnt already bought the JDM: center console, radio, blockoff plate(yeah thats universal but....) and jdm foglight and defroster switches you know? got someone wantin to sell theirs so i might have to hit that up.
as far as the thinner alcohol thing, the shop wanted to do that, they said thats how they do all of the overspray if they happen to get it inside. they said it works ok, i told them to give me my expletive keys and i would be back in a week to get my money for my dash. dont know if they gonna pay, i mean, i paid them almost 2000 for the paint, and that was after I stripped the interior, pulled out all the glass, ((yeah, i dont like tape lines, and i am really particular)) so the ENTIRE car is white, inside the trunk, under the interior panels, jams, UNDER THE CARPET AND HEAD LINER, why i did all that, well, kinda like a frame off restoration, but with out the frame i mean it is all pretty **** clean and nice but how could you not think to tape off my dash???
sorry for ranting, im mad. anyways, got some DUPONT interior carpet and Vinyl paint, just matte black, actually looks damn good, gonna put some armor all on it and see what that does when i get it all painted. let yall know how it looks. later,

I have found that if you use an all purpose cleaner from a automotive detailer/paint store that it will usually take out stuff like this. If that doesnt' work you can use some adhesive remover. I would say use paint thinner but that will take aways some gray on your dash also.

I had this problem with my car when it went in for paint but got it off no bother.U can use a small amount of thinner on cloth and then wash it with fairy liquid. After youve done that get some good dash restorer and it should bring it back up lovely.Worked on mine

Nail polish remover.. just be very light with it. and make sure to have like windex right behind where you clean.. also start in a small area that is not noticable..
