Default UGH, bad exhaust?

Well, i have a 00 SI with an aem CAI and for a graduation present my dad decided to get me an exhaust system.

Not that i'm complaining at all, he's a great guy, but he um... "hooked me up" with a Ractive cat-back.... Now.... i know they are definitely a ricey company, and i don't really care, it's just exhaust... BUT, what's the diameter on it? I hope it's not exactly the same as oem cuz then i would get absolutely no gain right? I hope it's 2.25 cuz i dont wanna be out 500 dollars.....

if you don't like it, just sell it on ebay. This is one reason why I make sure everyone knows that I HATE getting things for my car as a gift.

I have a ractive muffler and everybody really likes the way it sounds. I only purchased the muffler and I had a shop custom make me the pipe 2.5 for when I turbo my hatchie, it was much cheaper that way. Everybody on here talks **** on ractive, but I like it and so does everyone else from around my hood, I give them a buts thats just my opinion.

That thing cost your dad $500???
You got ripped off then if it did. Plus i don't trust their quality either.

You could have gone to the sponsor sections and gotten better exhaust system for less than $500.

You should tell your dad to cancel that order and save some money.

i got a ractice exhaust on my car and its not ricey at all, some of you may think it is, but when i compare the sound of it to other cars with aftermarket exhaust its 10x quieter, and those are people that hate fart cans

i also have a ractive muffler on my h22 civic..it dont sound to bad, some of my freinds with full exhausts sound more whiney. oh i also have a 2.5 inch high flow cat, big resonator and custom bent 2.5 inch piping, hope this helps a little........and i assume its either 2.25 or 2.5 inches.....i doubt its the same diameter as the stock exhuast..it would seem kinda pointless to buy then
