Type r brake question

Type r brake question
I just have a fast question. I was reading my new issue of Superstreet and there is a 92' hatch which says it has type r brakes, but it's not a five lug. I was wondering if this is possible? I know there was a four lug type r but these look like 4x100 and not 4x114. Can you mount a type r caliper on a 4x100 spindle? just wondering?

Re: Type r brake question (civic97dx)
im not 100% sure on this question cause i know very lil on brakes.. But a friend done the 300zx TT brake conversion on his 4 lug 240sx... and the 300Z is 5lug so im sure u could do this on the EG. He had to buy small spacer to fit though because the brake was so large it poked out about 1/2 inch more than his normal ones did and rubber the rim. But he got a 1inch spacer and problem was fixed.. and the tire/rim is more flush with the body

your best bet would be to go to http://www.fastbrakes.com, they use a lot of stock honda parts to build brake upgrad kits.
