Turbo for my overmiled D16Z6?
OK i still got my D16Z6 and it got about 192,000 miles on it. It runs good, startup nicely, nothing is wrong at the moment as daily driving and revving hard.
In your opinion, should I buy a turbo kit or not? I know it's overmiled, but has anyone done it with this much mile on the engine?
I wish I can do the Home Made Turbos, but I'm still learning. I'm thinking of something like this:

I think everyone will tell you to do a compression check. It could be fine, but I dont know 192,000 is a lot more than 130,000 like mine has. Just check compression and if its fine, boost it

That turbo kit seems like too much turbo for not having an intercooler.
So, you say your head is overmilled....but what compression ratio are you running? I'd say, if you have changed the compression ratio quiet a bit, swap for a stock head and then boost. With the higher compression, you will need to know what you are doing to keep the motor from detonating, and good fuel management.

Ahhh...miled....I can't read too well. ****, stock compression, just turbo it! But that ebay kit is very incomplete, I wouldn't reccommend it if your still learning about turbos. Look into a complete turbo kit instead, or learn more about building a system.

Wouldnt be a bad idea IMHO...make sure you do a compression test as said before and make sure you arent burning oil. Also, I would suggest for a car of that mileage to get an upgraded clutch (CM stage 2 or equivalent) and a new catalytic converter (to keep ur car from stinking up). Read up on homemadeturbo.com to see if you can do it yourself, if not i'd recommend a greddy kit. Good for low boost, and good quality, only bad thing is they dont come with I/C or BOV. Good luck
