Default Turbo my 94 LX??

Ive been considering tubroing my 94 LX. Would the gains be worth the cost? Ive been looking at this kit, the first one, it seems to be complete ith everythig I ned correct? http://www.turbo-kits.com/92-9....html but Id like to find something $2500 or less thats still a decent setup. Any suggestions? Will I be ok running 8 psi on a stock motor?

Search, this topic has been covered billions of times.

Yes it's worth the cost. If you piece it together yourself you can probably get an entire turbo setup for ~1000 dollars. You can't just say "I'll run on 8psi" - different turbos run more power at the same PSI - so on that note, I would probably trust the LX stock internals up to about 180whp (considering it's tuned of course) as a daily driver.

I reported the thread, search, this has been covered many times.

You may wanna check out sites such as:
http://www.turboD16.com
http://www.d-series.org
http://www.homemadeturbo.com

All of them can relate very well to turbo'ing D15's and D16's. There's also lots of information about it on H-T, just use the search function (red button in upper right corner).

I would recommend it, read about it, READ READ READ READ, A LOT about it. If you piece it together right you can be running 170-190whp daily for ~1500 bucks. .

EDIT:
PS: Keep an eye on the forced induction forum, search around there, etc. You can usually pick up good information there.

Why are you posting FI questions in this forum.

Go to the forced induction forum and read the stickies at the top of the page...Then start to ask some questions there.

I spent three months researching my **** on here before I posted one question a bout turboing my car. You need to have a good understanding of exactley whats going on and what it take to turbo a honda motor saftley.

Oh and I would definatley go to the noobies section at http://www.turbod16.com. You can post your questions here without getting flamed.

And for your own good do not post questions like "how fast will 190 hp be in this car" on the honda-tech forced induction forum.

you are a noob but i will help u and not bash u like the rest.

ok yes it would be worth it, my be more power than your even expecting. your right, you think of a 190whp car and u say well thats not that much righT......WRONG! 190whp in a 2500lb car is alot of powa atleast compared to the average car. can get a greddy turbo kit for about 1500 brand new on ebay, that will have everything u need. u might of searched but did u put the archive button on?

also check out turbod16.com you'll learn alot there and at homemadeturbo.com

Do not ever advise someone to buy an eBay turbo kit

You would be ok up to about 200-220whp, of course tuned. What I would do then is put a 92-95 ex/si tranny for the shorter gears. That would be a fun daily. Oh and for all you people that will argue against shorter gears on a turbo car, because longer keeps you in boost longer: Shorter gears = faster acceleration. Period. I don't care if you are turbo, supercharged, nos, n/a, or turbosupernitrous charged.
