Turbo for 97 Civic DX ??
Ive been looking aroudn teh web, but I cant seem to find a turbocharger kit for my 97 Civic DX coupe? Do they exist, or will I have to put a EX motor in and turbo that. I dont have $5,000 to spend like you guys on B series motor swaps.

you can just get his turbo kit, probably a good idea or get an ex kit and modify it a little, or even switch the throttle body. Some guy in San Diego has one and is hitting 160 to the wheels at 6lbs. of boost. Not bad, descently quick. Good Luck.

in the works are 2 street legal kits for all EJ civics..
The greddy..sohc turbo kit.. which I've heard is been tested for CARB approval for all 96+civics..possible ex only due to the D16Y7 shorty header with Cat converter....
and also the Apexi. turbo kit which has been finished for all 5gen civics..
and the fitting and testing of the 6th gen EJ series SOHC cars is been done at the moment.. both may obtain CARB apporval for all those who live in Cali
.. don't forget the DRAG..REV-HARD...FMAX kits..
and apporx 3 yrs ago.. turbo performance(can't remember the name)
based in east coast did produce a sohc turbo kit with the T28 turbo and cast iron manifold.. but never saw anything come out of it.. don't forget alamo motorsports bolt on turbo kit for the sohc civics as well
