Turbo the "D" or N/A "B"?
My wife drives a 97 EX 5spd. & we can't deside to go the turbo route or do the B swap & just run N/A for quite a while. Turbo would be an easier way to take but the B swap can be a bit more time consuming. Opinions?

Re: Turbo the "D" or N/A "B"? (HYREV2NR)
worng turbo will be alot more time consuming swaping in a B series motor can be an done in 4-6 hours, very easy. turbo requirs droping the oil pan welding a bung, all kinds of fun stuff.
as far as what to go, id go b series NA, unless you and your wife want to spend alot of time reading info about turbo setups. i wouldn't suggest turbo route unless you have alot of knoledge because there is alot of **** that can and will go wrong.
the the B series its NA and its honda OE reliablity can't **** with that ****

It really depends on what you want there guy. If you want the most reliability you can get and not having to work on it constantly to every so often, then B series is by far the way to go. However, if you want power, a NICELY tuned turbo setup on a D will slap around most B series motors. This once agian, will cost you a hefty price. Me personally, I'd turbo the D . . . .

This question, no matter how answered is always personal opinion. Nothing more nothing less. Thats why it as reported.

swap in a b18c1 (gsr), c5 is a waste of money--its a gsr bottom end with a b16 head. gsr has most potential IMO for NA, or forced induction...i have a friend with a 96 ex turbo and hes under the hood all the time and if you want hes sellin his turbo kit message me and lemme know if you want it.

If your not a mod don't tell me what I should or should't post. You may know more about conputers & the internet while this stuff is still fairly new to me. So before you start casting stones think a bit. I clicked in all of those threads & you were in one of them with post saying don't turn this into a B vs. D disscussion again. If you don't like what you read or see, skip over it. It's not hurting you to do that @ all. If you want a prefect Forum then start one yourself. There are far worse things THAT SHOULD be reported than something of this nature. For all others in here please forgive me for this long post. I really appreciate those who gave me striaght answers without giving me a bunch of sensless hassle. I will make mention of this NO MORE. Thanks guys.
