Default tune-up problems

I recently bought a 98 Civic CX. When I bought it it didn't run so hot slight idol problem and the plug wires were shot causing the plugs to arc. I just got done doing a full tune-up on it plugs. wires, cap, and rotor. After replacing all the parts I started the car to find that is ran worse after the work then when I bought it. The idol worsened, when I went to take off it bogs down, and when I bunch it its slugish and back fires. I ran through it all again the wires are right and the plugs are screwed down tight not sure what the next step is. Any info or knowledge will help. Thanks

^ yeah. You probably got the wires mixed up during the install.

I believe the order is 1-3-4-2. You'll have to check for the orientation of the wires on the distributor. Do a search on "civic firing order".

how do i check the ignition timing? i check the plugs and they're all in the right firing order but the car is still missing. could it have something to do with my fuel? like my jets or something?

Im positive you got your wires plugged in wrong. PULL THEM OFF, GRAB A MANUAL.

or look up the firing order. DO NOT DRIVE IT LIKE THAT
