tumping noise after installing coilover.....HELP
just got done installing some progress coilovers and drove it around the block and notice that whenever i go over any bumps on road there is some tumping noise coming from the rear passenger wheel. all four corners are set pretty even and all nuts and bolts are tight.....any thoughts on what how to find the problem?

Rear passenger side...the side the exhaust runs down. Make sure your exhaust piping isn't hitting the LCAs.

on my coil-overs it was the top of the coil and the top cap bumping together over bumps. if you can find a rubber gasket and trim it to size and put it between the coil and the top cap. hope this helps.

did you installed the coilovers upside down? I installed a spring upside down once and it made thumping sounds when going over bumps because they get misseated =\

I had the same problem when I put shocks/springs on my crx, I just had the bolts tightened way too tight and they kind of bound which made the same popping noise you're talking about-btw it was only on my rear-passenger side as well. I just kept driving it since I couldn't figure it out and after about 600 miles it just went away.

mine did he same thing on one wheel. if u cant find a rubber gasket like he suggested i used vaccum hose. i justcut it and wrapped the top of the coil then put zip ties around it. it works fine. his idea was probably better though
