Tubbin the EG (weight reduction)
I decided it was time to rid of all the useless stuff in my hatch.
Here is the snatchy with everything taken out.
Some pics of the finished product.
I will be going to get the final weight on my car sometime soon.
Big thanx to Dsr for helping me with the strippage.

Re: Tubbin the EG (KOALA YUMMIES)
We actually did it over at my friend D's house. So we had to use his desk lamp for a light. I put the floor mats back in to just help keep the floor cleaner. Plus it looks better than just old *** ugly red paint.

Heh, i hear you on the interior paint. I'll be stripping my down for cleaning and an interior change soon. Planning on repainting the floor with some hefty paint, blacking it all out.

Re: Tubbin the EG (splitime)
Are you fellas planning on taking out the sound deadening? I have been working on my removal in my (91 Si) CRX for a week now, I have saved every possible chunk just to show what it weighs when it's all removed. so far I'm at around 7 pounds. Let's just say it's one of those things I don't think I'll ever do again. It's easier to save weight elsewhere.

My Si pig had it everywhere, even the spare tire well. The wheel wells were the worst. Not only did it have the tar, but a thick layer of foam and a fur like substance! When I chipped it all away, I spent HOURS (that's why I wont do it again) with the heat gun to get it all smooth.

Re: Tubbin the EG (hondahans)
I did this to my hatch...the road volume sucks...the ride get so loud, esp on the freeway...So i'm going to use my granpa's shop to cut a 3/4 in. cover, i just finished the template and it will extend up to the seat wells. Going to carpet them and maybe put a hinge for some lockable storage in the seat wells.
