Trying to de-rice my civic...
I'm looking for a good non-ricey exhaust for the eg hatch. I've been pretty sick of the canon sticking out of the back for a while now and now there's a small leak and my excuse to get a new, quieter, stocker looking exhaust. Wha do you think?

x2 on the greddy sp2. It looks so sick on hatches. I also hate huge exhausts on hatches; it looks gay. You'll be satisfied with it. Its small and greddys sound sexy

Is it regular steel?
If you can find a regular WS2, get some grill or engine paint. I just don't see why other people never want to spray paint new parts.

na my pipe is cracked(cheap ebay exhaust less the a year old) at the silencer so I can weld it and hope that this shitty thing doesn't crack again and still deal with the fart cannon or get a quality new piece and not worry. I would go back to stock but I'd still like a little performance. I would like to spend 300 vs 5 but what are you gonna do?

Re: Trying to de-rice my civic...
i've successfully installed an stock exhaust back on my hatch. got the stock muffler from a junk yard for no more than 20 dollars from an civic EX. fitment wasnt too good though. the muffler to bumper pipe had to be cut due to sticking out too far but other than that, it fit nicely. the car is quiet, yet still fast and torqy. i'd day there's more bottom end but last power from 7 to 8000rpm. over all, its quiet again. completely dericed. quiet yet simply fast. not too much of a difference.

Re: Trying to de-rice my civic...
So far the only articles I've found says for the 98 Civic EX the keyless remote system was part of the factory stereo. Does anyone have any experience with this.? Do I nee to buy a factory stereo?
Thanks,
Thanks,

^^ the OP is looking for a catback as his current B pipe is broken.
you can always go the custom route ( mandrel bent 2.25 " or 2.5 " with a nice quiet muffler . But custom work and good parts will probably add up to if not more than a kit .

if u want a cheap non ricy quiet exhaust. go with pacesetter monza. (i know i know... "lol pacesetter") but really, it sounds awsome. low, deep, and quiet. and its cheap. ive had mine now for 2 years and i love it.

I'm Running the Apexi Noir on my 95 SI and it sounds amzing, cant hear it on the highway, but sounds sporty as hell when you get on it, and with a good intake the sound is unmatched!
