my bad, were your trunk release and gas release lever is, there is a peice of plastic you just stick a flatip under it and , it will expose a bolt or screw you need to remove, take that out, then pull the cover off, then look at the trunk release lever and u will see a cord with a metal thing on the end just pull it out of its grove. you will see what im talking about , once u take the cover off. you should also be able to find where it's connected at the solenoid in the trunk, since your trunk's gutted it might be easier...

What up brother? I just decided to cut the line in the trunk because it was kinked and frayed right behind the lever. It also got rid of my trunk light...YEA!!!
