Trouble with a new keyless remote
Hi, I'm Grace, a newbie. I just got a keyless remote on ebay for my 98 Civic LX. I searched around online and thought it was the right one, but now I'm not sure because I'm having trouble programming it. (The car didn't come with a remote, so I didn't have anything to compare it to, but it does have the original factory radio).
The numbers are:
FCC ID: KOBUTAH2T
Canada: 1983 102 297
Can anyone tell me if this is the right or wrong remote? And if it's wrong, how do I know which one I need?
Here's the ebay link. Thanks for any help you can give!

I called several Honda people today, and no one had a clue how to tell me whether or not I had the wrong kind of remote. They weren't interested in the FCC numbers. How else would you identify what kind of remote you needed?
Those remotes fit 96-04 Civics. Are you sure the car has keyless entry? I know its a stupid questions but check behind the radio. If there is a empty space you don't have keyless entry.
Thanks for replying (even if you are a noob hater
). How do I look behind the radio? I'm really quite ignorant about cars.... I was trying to program the remote using the radio and the valet button, and the valet button did make the locks all click. So I assume that means there is some kind of good connection between the radio and the locks... Would that indicate I have keyless entry?
