Shocks and Struts
Ok, I plan on swappin out the shocks and struts on my 93 vx, and I wanna decided on 1 of 2 setups that I have decided to go with. For springs I plan on goin with H&R sports (1.75" drop in front, 1.5" drop in the rear). For shocks and struts I'm stuck between KYB AGX's or Tockico Blues. Any reccomendations are appreciated and are taken well into consideration .

Shocks and struts are pretty much the same thing, just different names. Go with Koni sports, they might be a bit more expencive but it's worth it.

No they aren't. Struts have the spring around them, shocks don't. If you're going Tokico, don't get the blues. They suck. Get the illuminas. You can get Illuminas with springs on ebay for $470 shipped. Just search "civic tokico" without the quotations.

I'm on a budget aswell. Depending on what the next paycheck comes in as I may go with the Illumina set-up, but still heavily considering KYB AGX/H&R Sport set-up.

"pretty much" I'd say they are pretty similar then, would'nt you? They do the same thing, but the layout is slightly different.

Re: Shocks and Struts (Re3irth)
ive had kyb agx, and tokico blues both on neuspeed race springs.
first of all kyb does NOT support a warranty on cars dropped greater than 2 inches.
the ride is very bumpy and rigid.
it handles good
tokico.
they are very comfortable just about like stock. not bumpy at all. better if you want a comfortable ride, like me... im all about comfort now. not speed.
i would definitly go with the tokico's again if i had to choose.
kyb's are adjustable but i had to kepe them on the 3rd setting to prevent the shock from blowing. the 4th setting was just TOO rough. 3rd wasnt that much better.
