Transmission Q for 2000 SI civic
I am currently have problems with my transmission... I noticed a different noise coming from my car about 2 weeks ago that would go away when i pressed in the clutch.. I could feel my clutch felt tighter so i had a friend help me replace the clutch hoping that was the problem since its got 120k as a daily driver...
Upon removing the trans other guy that was there noticed that i believe it was the drive axel was lose.. sorry if not using correct terms but the rod that sticks out of the trans could be slightly wiggled.....
I was just wondering if anyone knows for sure if my trans needs to be replaced and if so were i can find one other than Florida... everywhere i look does not have the Si 99-00 trans... I live in so cal about 60 miles from LA
I would appreciate anyones help

if the noise goes away when the clutch is pressed in, and sounds like a worn bearing, it is your input shaft bearing (located inside the transmission)
