transmission issues?

transmission issues?
i have a b16 with a hydro tranny...ok so i was on the high way driving all the sudden the car made this ugly sound coming from the tranny it does not want to move no where but u hear something spinning still .. is it my clutch gave up or is it the tranny itself thats gone please need help asap thanks!!!

the car does not move it makes this wired sound like a wheel spinning then when i put it in gear it still does not move tap the gas a lil n the spinning sound louder ..... i had to push the car 5 blocks it just happen not to long ago

Jack your ride up and have someone start it and put the car into gear and let the clutch out while u check out under it. try to see if the axles are spinning or not.
Sounds like you broke your CV axles which isn't to bad. not as bad as a broken tranny lol.

Hell yea, because i had some snap on me before and they made a nasty *** noise. thats because they break in the middle of the axle so half the axle is trying to spin the other half but it wont cause the insides of the gear broke or some **** like that lol.

I also would recommend checking your cv axle. happened to me a few months back. glad it was a 80dollarr fix and not a couple hundred. hopefully its the saame for you.

also check to see if ur axles are all the way into the trans i think i have the same exact issue i will find out tommorow my axle was sticking halfway out. our symptoms sounds the same my car will start up fine no weird noises or anything it just wont move when i put it into gear, i hope its the axle cause i dont wanna buy a new trans. def. let me know what u find out cause ima work on my car n buy a new axle tomorrow just hope i dont waste money when i really need a trans

visually inspect the axles for breaks.
Jack the front end of the car up (both front tires off the ground) spin one tire and look for the other one to move as well.
Remove the clutch inspection plate and look for any debris there.
