Tranny seal...help out guys
I just swapped in new tranny for my y8 and runs fine but oil is leaking out from the driver side axle...its where the driver side axle and tranny hook up...i tried pushing the axle all the way into the tranny but its as far as it can go and it still leaking, so im postive its the seal on the tranny...how difficult is it to change out the seal? i went a shop and they said its going to cost $60 parts and labor...i talked to my uncle and he said i'm going to need a special tool? what tool is this?

Re: (bmoua)
its not hard, it involves taking out the axle, pulling the old seal out, and replacing it with the new one. You shouldnt need any special tools to do it. It is really pretty easy. Just make sure to be careful with the seal, dont tear it, and dont bang up against it. It needs to make a good seal.
