tranny rebuild pricing
ive searched and there is no range in pricing for tranny rebuilds. with the pricing on used ones, i might as well have one rebuilt and not have to worry about being scammed. does anyone have an idea of how much? labor will not include removing. TIA

would really help if you listed the tranny, its symptoms, and what needs rebuilt.
Most D series trannys can be fixed for $100-160.

Re: (Sketch_hs)
the tranny is a 98 LS with a bad 3rd(of course). every tranny i see for sale now its 5 - 700 bills. for that amount of money, i can get a garaunteed performer rather than a potentially stolen one with a bad gear.

you have LS/VTEC with an LS tranny? That sucks...don't waste any more time with the LS Tranny. Try and find a hydro B16A or B18C tranny quickly...the improvement in acceleration is undescribable

Re: (BauleyCivic)
i think my friend has one (with a bad 3rd) laying around, i can prob grab that from him. after all, id rather have better accel than top speed. but i figure that it has to be cheaper to rebuild cuz the prices of trannys(used) is rediculous now. i bought mine 1.5 yrs ago for 350 in perfect cond

i think you need to take it easy on the next tranny or learn how to drive.
