I have a quick question. Next year I will do engine swap. But I want to get rid of my cvt now. Is there a manual tranny that I can use now that I will be able to use with a b-series engine later? Its probably a stupid question but I thought I would ask.

The lip may be a little off. It looks better in person. I will paint my car soon so it will look even better.

i dont think there is.....about the car, it looks very clean. you should put the si grill.

I knew it was a stupid question. Will any d-series tranny fit?

Yes, all 92+ d-series will fit but 96+ EX tranny will be the best due to its shorter gears and stronger shift fork.

But you can not use the D-series transmission to work with a B-series motor. So don't go and get one and think that it's swapable, because it isn't.

Right, I wouldnt have done that anyways. If I find a d-series tranny for the right price I will go for it. Then when its time for a b-series engine, I will also get a b-series tranny.

Nice car. Rep with the HX's. Just get a new final drive for your current tranny, like a 4.7. http://www.exospeed.com has them.

ditto. The only thing I don't like is the front lip. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply guys.
And ya, in the pics, the lip looks off. It looks better in person. I chose the lip for two reasons:
1) My bumper cracked from running over a tire
2) It looked awesome on a SI (painted moldings)

Once I paint the car, everything should look good. Thanks for the comments.

i guess once the rocker panels are painted to match then the lip might look better, i hope so! good luck with the tranny thing!

you would want '92~'95 Si/EX or '96~'00 EX/Si(Canadian) tranny...

i think you shouldve left the OEM wheels on

d-series trannies are cheap, you should be able to grab one for a couple hundred or less.

Ive had my oems on for the last two years. Its only been a couple of months since I got my new wheels.

Heres my car with my stock wheels:
