Depends take it to a shop see how much they'd charge to fix that gear, if they have to do the whole assembly you could possibly screwed and if it does come down to that id just get a new tranny possibly a b16 with lsd

Re: tranny problem need help (Em1Kid)
If i get a new tranny the 1 I have is a j1 cable tranny and the previos owner converted it from hydro to cable but they didnt use a conversion kit, would I b able to put a hydro tranny with any problems cause I have a slave cylinder, and would the same tranny mount that I have work or would i have to get a hydro tranny mount?

Re: (HB-II)
There are 2 plugs on the tranny. The drain plug and the fill plug. The fill plug obviously sits higher up on the tranny.
When you remove the fill plug, the tranny fluid should be level with the opening. Shine a light into there (bit tricky if you don't have a small flash light) and look for the fluid. In addition, you can put a small screwdriver (gently) in the hole and use it as a dip stick of sorts. If you angle the screwdriver down, you should be getting tranny fluid on the screwdriver. If not, you need to use your choice of tranny fluid to fill it up again.
Just looking through some other threads, this came up:
