Tranny going bad?
My tranny would make this claking sound when im in neutral. But when I press on the clutch. The sound seems to go away. And whenever I drive the car I can hear the whirling sound coming from the tranny. I wonder if i change the tranny fluid would help get rid of the noise? I heard good things about GM Sycromesh. And sometimes it would be super hard to put the gears into gear. And once in a while the gears would pop out while driving. Is this a sign of a tranny going bad? I doubt its the clutch because it doesnt slip at all. The power is there whenever I step on it.

It sounds like your input shaft bearing is going bad. Time to pull the trans and replace the isb or buy a new trans
