Tranmission problems need ? answer fast!!!
Well my transmission went out in my d16 today on the way to get some turkey. so I have a b18c I'm buying but I dont want to put it in yet since I want to build it up for boost....so here is my question. How much should a tranny for the d series engine cost at the junk yard? Just need it to last about 6 months...im in a hurry though because I have to work monday...help please I dont want to get screwed on a price.

Nope..your better off trying to find someone selling theirs for 2-300

why the hell are the dseries trannys so expensive i heard people getting whole swaps for like 300 bucks...grrr this is getting annoying i cant put b18c in now it needs work man i'm just f*cked!!! STUPID TURKEY DAY!!!!!!

since u just want somethin to hold u over, go cheap and get a dx or cx tranny. i wouldnt pay more than 100 for one

dude if u have a way to pull ur tranny out, id say just rebuild it, gears arnt that much... and its easy as hell to do. im taking a manny tranny class and we put together a **** load of manny trannys, just make sure u take a picture or mark everything where they need to be. and your set.

buying new gears and syncros would be pretty expensive compared to just pickin up a used one, esp when he just needs one to hold him over for a coupla months. now if he was buildin up the d and wanted to spend time working on it, i'm sure he could rebuild it to be like new and trust it more than some used one, but he already has a swap waiting and only wants to get to work and back.
