No, what's really gonna suck is a trailor hitch mounted on the back of an EM1

I don't know if you have enough torque to be towing anything through mountains. Launching on a stick shift isn't that hard if you know how to do it. Then again, i've never launched anything with a car, much less one that was manual tranny.

A friend put a hitch on his 95 EX-S (don't know what exactly the -s meant but thats what the title said and it had factory rear disc brakes) coupe and pulled a jet ski with no problems at all. We all made fun of him at first but it worked out well. Just get either a small slot hitch or the 1x1 hitch and you won't hardly notice it. He had a full combat kit (this was back in 97) and the rear bumper sat perfectly on the hitch so you couldn't see any of it but the slide in hole.

And his car amazingly pulled that thing around nicely. All the car had done to it was intake, DC header, Greddy SP exhaust, and heavy *** 16" enkie's.

Actually it looked very normal. And there were a few other stock civic's at the river with jet skiis too. His looked good pulling a ski. Remember, this was in like 97, it had the full WW Combat kit and was painted like a crayola blue, similar to the Miata blue.

i would be careful if ur car is lowered.... the instructions that came with my eibach springs said that i shouldnt tow anything after i put the springs in. im sure they're just being extra cautious, so just use good judgement

my brother has a 90 accord coupe, and he tows all the time with it with no probs....on top if it, he's got the orig. f22 with about 290,xxx miles on it, and only replaced the original clutch about 2k ago....

towing with an accord or civic will stick out like michael jackson at a daycare center, but it can be done...just be smart on your shifts and you'll be ok....oh yeah, and don't try towing a 20' camper or some ****...that could get sketchy...

good luck
