Did honda have a tow package for the 96-00 civics as an option? I have seen some civics with hitches on them, just wondering if they were aftermarket or a stock option. reason me asking is that i do not own a truck and i would like to get a small trailer to pull behind me civic for things like a set of tires, coolers, tents, tool boxes and everything thing i bring to the track.

On trucks, tow package usually consists of better radiator, improved brakes, etc. To answer your question - No. However, places such as UHaul would install hitches for around $100.
