Default TOO many harnesses on swap, need to get done.....

JDM B18C into 94 EX and there's 5 harnesses and 1 wire that i'm not positive about that are on my GSR but i didn't have them on my civic...

there's 2 harnesses right be the speed sensor (VSS), both are 2-wire harnesses and the wires are: Orange/Blue and White/Blue; and the other one is: Blue/Yellow and Blue/Green

then there's 2 close to the starter, one is: Green/White and Blue/Yellow, and the other one was a harness but the harness got pulled off so it's just wires there and they're: Green/Black and Yellow

there's a wire right be the starter there too and it looks like it's suppose to be connected to the starter and it just got cut for some reason but i'm not sure, it's Black/White wire and there's a Black/White wire comin off the starter, so i'm thinkin put 2 and 2 together, i thought it would be the ground wire for the starter but wasn't sure why it would be run through the harness?

the last sensor i'm pretty sure is my backup light sensor, it's on the front of the tranny but isn't connected to anything, it's got 2 Green/Black wires...

anyone that can help me with this would be great because i want to get the swap done.

i'm using the harness that's in my EX Coupe and the harness that came with the B18C, but when i was switching the plugs on the GSR from right hand drive to left hand drive i noticed a few plugs that it had that my car doesn't have, and those are the ones that i named off earlier. tonight i'll try and get some pictures of the plugs and where they're at exactly.

ok i got some pics.... kinda rough but it should help

this is the harness by the starter and you can see the wires that are there, there was a harness on the green and yellow wires there but it's gone now. and then up above that you can see a little bit of the black/white wire that connects to the starter most likely. Then behind it all you can see a harness just layin right by the tranny, it connects to the front of the tranny, that's what i think is the backup light sensor.

These are the 2 harnesses right by the VSS sensor. I don't have any guess to what these are for....

This is an overall shot to give you a good view of everything. I tried to label it some and help with what harnesses were which and whatever i thought....

If anyone has had this trouble before or can help me figure this out i'd like that...

the harness looks like a JDM Auto GSR...cuz those plugs look like Auto DOHC plugs cuz they are square. (only Trannies use the square type plugs.) Engine plugs are usually round.

EX auto or manual harness are exactly the same. The auto SOHC tranny only has one plug for the lock up solenoids. This same plug is used for the back sensor on Manual trannies.

Just remove the harness from your SOHC and plug it onto the GSR motor...everything should like up perfectly....all you will need to do is extend some wires for O2 and some other sensors.

i'm using my harness from my d16z6 for my d16z6, it's going into a 91' EF, and the re-wiring i'd have to work around to use that would suck if even possible...

if these are from an auto tranny then should i even need to use them??

I just got an email from the company i got the engine from cause a couple sensors were broken and so i'm getting them sent to me, and they said that i can't use the harness that came with the engine and i need a USDM harness, can't i just flip the harness around and extend the wires i need to and use it? or do i need to get a 92+ civic or 94+ teg harness?

The harness you have to use is a usdm 92-95 ex/si civic harness or 94-95 usdm acura integra gsr harness.

LIKE i said earlier....the harness you are showing us with the extra plugs is an Integra AUTO harness for sure. I have seen the same plugs on my brothers LS Auto harness.

We cut the plugs we didnt need off, one of the plugs for the AUTO lock-up Solenoid is the same as the reverse light plug and it also goes to the same position on a Manual chassis plug.

Also...if you use an AUTO integra harness on an EG (92-95) you need to run a wire from distributor to one of the Auto plug wires you cut.

Apparently...the tach uses a signal from the tranny on Auto cars.

ALSO
if you are putting the SOHC motor into an EF, you need an EF engine harness. The EG harness will not work. Your best bet is use EF engine harness, add all your VTEC wires and an OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness for the ECU.
