actually its not even $1 away, Koni Yellows are $60 shipped in the marketplace section.
For Illuminas, ebay seller named JDMworks I think, has great prices, just type in Illuminas civic and then when you find that seller, look at his store.

The Tokico Illumina R Coilovers will run you about $700 everywhere. I have these and they rule!
You must be talking about the Tokico shocks and springs though, they are on ebay for $460 with free shipping.

Theres a HUGE difference. The ones on ebay (and the ones on shox.com) don't have springs because they are shocks. They are NOT coilovers.
Full coilover:
Coilover sleeves (must be used with shocks/struts):

And you can get Koni's for about 470 shipped. I know cause I just got a set of these bad boys. I drove around with them on full damping and all I can say is, damn thats stiff.

your not going to get coilovers for $500, atleat nothing reputable thats for sure.
Koni Yellows are $460, a good spring to go with them is $150. Illuminas can be had from $400 and the springs again $150.
Full coilovers that are atleast somewhat reputable start at about $650 and go up from there

Re: (kydoster)
yeah saw the link, $775, you crazy if you buy that Tokico kit.
Koni yellows ($460) with ground-control adjustable coilover sleeves and custom spring rates are $800-$830. With the standard off the shelf spring rates, $760-$800 and the Koni/GC will absolutely destroy that Tokico kit in terms of handling.

Re: (alwaysoverkill)
the tokico kit is 580, why is that such a bad deal? tokico is a recognizable suspension kit, and the price is good, whats the dea?

Re: (kydoster)
I'll tell you what not to get. Skunk2 lowering springs. I hate mine.
My friend has Tokico Illuminas with Ground Control coilover sleeves and it handles a lot better than my ****. But the ride is a lot more harsh

Getting new shocks alone isn't going to do much on stock springs

Re: Tokico Illumina shocks (kydoster)
But the springs it comes with are just barely stiffer than stock- 250/123. I only know of two aftermarket spring sets that are softer than those, Tein S-Techs and H-Techs.
Plus, they add more stiffness to the front than to the rear, which will only serve in increase unsersteer in our already plow inclined cars.
If youre set on getting them, get them. They wont hurt your handling other than adding a tiny tiny bit more understeer. IMO those springs are almost exclusively for cosmetic drop.
The shocks are great though, have them on my brother's 240z
