tokico HP blues + Neuspeed Sport Springs = opinions??
thinking of getting this setup on my eg hatch. ive searched and got mixed results and nothing with the Neuspeed Springs part #55.20.17 (1.8" drop front, 1.6" Rear) either..
anybody else use this setup or had it before? its only for daily driving, but i have a b16 swapped.
TIA guys

i think the only thing you have to worry about, isnt the springs... id worry about the tokico blues.
they are only a replacement OEM shock. i wouldnt run em. if u want tokico, go illuminas.
and while this is here, we have a suspension forum also

**** sorry bout the suspension forum, jus used to posting in here, my bad. mods can move it if they feel.
the only reason im looking at buying this is i got offered it for $400 CDN for both teh blues and springs in a combo only used for 3 months and they look like new...
is it still not worth it?

sounds like a pretty decent deal? its like around 350 USD?
im almost 90% sure that tokico offers a lifetime warranty on their shocks anyways.
go for it. if you're only dropping 1.6 / 1.8 it should be ok.

Re: (CRXified)
my friend had them on his ek with h&r springs and the ride would be bouncy at times. they're also oem replacements, so you're spending $350 for springs/shock setup that you could as easily spend $50-$100 on used springs and put em on your stock shocks. its basically the same thing.

the blues are horrible IMHO. I have had them and I hated them.....my 80k mile OEM shocks had better control of rebound and ride control than the new Blues that I had. I sold them for like 50 bux when they only had like 1k miles on them becasue I dispised them so.
I suggest getting some AGX's or Illumina's

daily driving was what it was mostly used for. The shocks never saw track use.
the ride height was about two fingers in teh front and about three in the rear. Basically like 1.5-2" at most.
complete crap, do not waste your money.......send them back and get a refund

lol I daily drove Tokico blues with skunk coils. Nice ride and decent handling for what I had. To me those shocks are pefectly fine and good enough for daily driving. I had no problems what soever. theyu worked great.
only thing that sucks is they arent adjustable like the iluminas

If you're THAT curious about the Tokico HPs, call em direct and ask em what the difference in valving between the OEs and the HPs are. They are valved differently. As for specific valving specs, ask them directly. 800-548-2549. They're hella cool over there.
Incidentally, run Eibachs. Neuspeed used to be made by H&R so they were pretty decent for a while but they've been sourcing their springs from a different vendor. The post-H&R versions are notorious for sagging.
