toda vs jun vs smps ......
i don't know if i got the header right its smps or smsp or somthing like that. but header wise which is the best hytek and smps use 4-1 and the toda uses 4-2-1. this is going to be for my b16 or b18 which ever one i get. i'm looking for the most power good power band etc. can some one also explain the differnce between a 4-2-1 and a 4-1 and the gains between both.
also jun vs toda i looked at import review and a did a search and say a lot of people complain about lost power with the spec b's and c's is this just becuase of not tunning the cam and so forth. but which is better jun or toda cam wise and just performance in genrale.

Do a search about this topic in the ITR forum (And archived as well). Those guys get into huge threads bout all the Jun/Toda/SMSP/Hytech headers all the time (Although not recently).

You dun need a SMS or a Hytech for a *****-*** B16a.
Even Toda is prolly overkill...but stilla nice header.
SMS is 1100
Hytech is 1300
Toda is 800-900
How deep are your pockets?

You betta watch calling a B16 a *****. I know quite a few that will kill an ITR that has been modified. I don't want to get into a bitching contest but step lightly when talking like that.
And you do relize that the B-16 loves to breathe so why would a JUN or a toda be overkill. I know just get a JDM 4-1 but if you have the cash why not?????

Also, your 'modified' b16a will still get killed by a b18 with the same mods, and even worse by a B20\VTEC setup.

I didnt know VTECH started making car parts...
But even in that case, the displacement is more than than the GSR and way more than the B16a.

Re: toda vs jun vs smps ...... (IM ALL BOB)
why don't you look into a mugen header. I went from a DC 4-2-1 to a Mugen 4-1 and the gains are night and day. Below 3grand i lost a little but who cares about 3 grand. From there up the power is sick.

Re: toda vs jun vs smps ...... (Doctor CorteZ)
He's a big boy. IF he wants to take Ryan on then let him. Just Like Furball taking on sprdave.
Bottom line anything done to a B16 can be done to a B18 anything and kill it. The B16A is the weakest DOHC vtec motor Honda ever made.....this is fact.
Now back to the topic. It dpeends on how far you are going to go with your setup. If you are going serious N/A (Cam's high compression pistons etc) then the high dollar headers might be for you. If not then just go with a JDM DC header and call it a day.

All of those headers are very nice, but you will only capitalize on the gains with tuning.
DC Sports you can just bolt-on and forget it. Toda, JUN, HyTech, SMSP, Spoon, AN-R...all of those would benefit greatly from being tuned on a dyno.
As far as cams go, I have no personal experience with both, but from what I've heard and read on this board (again, do a search, there's a ton of info around) JUNs idle better than Todas. I won't say a word about power

Re: toda vs jun vs smps ...... (delsolguy)
I got my Toda to idle like stock (Spec Bs) Just had to subtract a shitload of fuel @ idle
