Tire size question
I have a 99 civic sir. I recently purchased some used 17 inch wheels with 215/45R/17 tires on them. Has anyone had experiance with this size tire? Are mods required to make this tire fit. I already slightly rolled up the inner rear fender lip as it was rubbing. The tires are fine unless there are people in the back and I hit bumps. Any imput?

Yeah, it's too effing big. Get 205/40-17s. Or get stiffer springs. Or don't ride anyone in the back.

As others have mentioned, those tires are too large for your vehicle. Not only will you likely have rubbing issues (which you already appear to have), but you will also alter your effective gearing as well as throw off your speedometer and odometer readings.
