Default Tire size problem on 93 Hatch

Ok im hoping I can get some help tonight seeing as im going to go buy some tires tomorrow. I am putting tires on some LS mesh wheels, I tryed them on my car tonight with the current tires and they rub in the back they are 205/50/15s .........I know people run this size on H/Bs and I havent heard any one say they rub. Do you roll the inner fender lip or what? since they rub proably going with 195/55/15. Im sure part of it is that my car is droped but I just havent heard any one say 205s rubbed bad

heres my hatch:

BTW right now rolling on some 185/60/14s

or you might have alot of negative camber from lowering your car.

no frame isnt tweaked for one the car is mint and 2 it would rub on one side and not the other. I will try to lift the car some I guess, I have H&R coilovers but the spaner wrench is long gone any thing else work good to adjust coilovers with ?

205 / 50 / 15
width/height/size of rim
195/55/15 would be a thinner, taller tire. If you like your ride highth, try a 195/50/15 tire, thats what i ran on my 95 gsr teg with a 2-2.25 drop on h&r's, and thats whats on my hatch right now. Thats my$.02, hope it helps

No, it goes width/aspect ratio/size of wheel... its not like 50 mms or something it goes with the width of the tire..

the 50 represents the profile of the tire, you know, how high the sidewall is.
If what you said means that then i agree with you

205/50/15 = sidewall height of 102.5mm
195/55/15 = sidewall height of 107.25mm
195/50/15 = sidewall height of 97.5mm

I think thats right...hope that helps

As a one-time tire salesman, allow me to educate you all:

205/55 YR16 is an example of a tire size and speed threshold designation.

205 is the tread width in mm.

The 55 is the percent of 205mm the sidewall subtends (55% of 205mm = 112.75mm).

Y is the speed designation, Y being the highest non-race designation I've ever seen.

R16 tells you that it fits a rim with diameter 16 inches.

You could have set the camber in -1 to -2 and been alright.

I have huge *** azenis on my civic. Largest they make in 16. At 0 camber the rear rubbed big time. At -1.5 they don't rub at all. Of course I don't roll as low as the rest of you.
