tire rubbing on my quartepanel

Default tire rubbing on my quartepanel

hi
my suspension is koni yellow adjustable shock and ground control coilovers , the rear tires rub too much on my quartel panel , I use 15 rotas slips my tires are 205/50/15 my friend say something about rolling the lip of the panel that would solve my problem , i adjust the shocks a little stiffer so they wont touch much it did help a little bit but not much

i would say change the camber but only if you dont care about tire wear.. i did and just bought new tires every two years

talking about the lip on the rear quartepanel were the tire rub with the lip of the quartepanel

Just use a baseball bat and roll the lip of the panel!! I had the same problem on my EG hatch but rolling the panel fixed it.

What tires are you using specifically? What is the wheel width and offset? What is the rear camber setting on both sides? Have you rolled the fender lip? Are you sure the fender lip is where the rubbing is occurring?

Adjusting more rebound force on the dampers won't do anything to help with this problem.

so raise your car
no more rubbing.

how low do you have it?

ive got 15in GSRs with 95/55 series tires ground control coils and KYBs set on sport on my car and have no prob with the rear...
when i was rollin 205's on eibach spings it was about the same hieght and no prob either
theres about a finger clearence from the weel well to top of tire...
i only had to roll the front fender lips...
you must be slammed... raise the car a bit
