Default tire question

K look my rims are 16 x7 42 offset and i have 205/40/16 on them now...i think someone said it should be 205/45/16 is it going to affect anything? I mean what is the difference between the radius be 5 more or less? Just asking because I'm looking for some rota slips 16 x 7 with 45 offset and I wanted to see what tire size I would need....should I be getting a .

My car is a 93 civic coupe with 1.5 inch drop.

Your gearing will be affected slightly with 205/40 tire, speedo may show about 2-3% faster speed than you're actually going, which is practically negligible, considering most speedos are geared up 6% anyway.

205/45 is closer to OEM tire size on EG, I found 205/50 works better for me on EK. Don't go 205/50 on your car, though, because you may rub.
