Timing of on my 93 D15b7.
I just replace a crack head with a head that was advertized for 88-95 SOHC non vtec 16 valves. The car start and drive, but I can not get the timing right? Did I get the wrong part? I still have the old cam from the B7. Please help, it is the wife car.
Thanks.
Thanks.

do you have the correct timing belt...make sure both heads look identical and just line up all the timing marks, adjust the belt tension properly and get yourself a timing light to set ignition timing...remember you have to bridge that connector beside the glovebox to properly set ignition timing...

Re: (biggee)
I have the correct timing belt. The car start and drive. I aligned the mark on the crankshaft with the arrow for TDC, and aligned the TDC mark on the camshaft pulley with the cylinder head top surface (both as indicated in the Hanes book). I also bridged the connector to trick the ecu. Now when I used the timing light, I do not match the marks on the crankshaft pulley. But like I am saying the car drive normal with the timing fully advance on the distributor. We even tried moving the belt on way or the other, the best is when we do it following the d15b7 installation as I described before. This makes me wonder if I have the B2 or B1 head. If so can I swap the camshaft with my old B7 camshaft. That is my dilema!!
