if its a b series im not sure but on a d series there are two marks on the cam gear that should be level with the top of the head and the cam gear should be pointinh up... and check for tdc then look on ur crank pulley, may need a light, then there are three white marks in a row l l l and then a red mark to the right like an inch and a half, the red mark should be lined up to a pionter on the timing belt cover, if those all line up your timing is correct.

there will be two arrows on the cam gears one on each gear for b-series...., when the crank is at top dead center , each gear arrow should be pointing stright up , or in line with the arrows on the cylinder no. 1 cam bearings ...
using white out or a chalk crayon , mark the point on the timming belt where the arrow on the gear point to that will show you where the arrow is when viewing the motor from the top , if both marks do not line up with the indicator arrows on the cam bearings ,
i believe on the v-tec dogc. engines there is no arrow on the cam bearings but it should line up with the center of the cam rail !!!!
hope that helps

One side Timing belt is tight but other side is tittle loose. Is it normal?
My car is really sluggish thats the reason I wanted to check timing.

i just did the t-belt on my soch you want to have the up part of the pulley to be up and the the two marks on the cam gear to be lined up the the arrows on the pastic cover behind it then you want to line up the white mark on the crank pulley with the pointer on the lower timing cover

I pulled off the timing valve cover and the timing belt felt a little loose between the two cam gear
