You use a d15z1 timing belt.

I am 110% positive.

I bought a D16Z6 timing belt thinking it was right for my D15B vtec since they use the same head but it had the wrong number of teeth compared to the stock belt. I went to the Honda dealer and had them order me the exact factory part and it was around 50 bucks. When I went to put it on I used my Haynes manual and I was thinking that the D16Z6 diagram would be the right way to line up the timing marks but the only way it would go on right was the D15Z1 way if I remember correctly. Is that right as far as the timing marks go? This is the only thing keeping me from putting my motor in so please somebody set me straight. Thanks.

Yeah, I did research for somebody with a D15B and based on teeth count the VX motor (D15Z1) matches in teeth.

VX belt.
