timing belt came off what to do?
Driving from work today normal out of vtec when my whole car loses power and right away i turned the car off because i knew what it was.

Just put a new timing belt on an cross your fingers. My brother broke his timing belt while driving home. We just lined everything up and installed new belt. Started right up

My mom's timing belt broke while she was at a stop sign. She had no idea what happened, but told me all about it when I got back from college. "The mechanic said I was really lucky. I don't know why, but apparently there can be alot of damage when the, uh, something belt breaks. Would that be the alternator belt?" "No, it wasn't mom. Don't worry about it."
