Tie bar installation on 97 civic
does anyone have a how-to on rear tie bar and front H-brace installation on a 97 civic coupe?

just look at it and figure it out, its pretty easy, when ur all done, align it as best u can with ur eyes, than take it to go get aligned

Umm.. I don't think you need to get an alignment for installing a rear lower tie bar or an H-Brace. I don't think they do anything to alter suspension geometry.. they are just for chassis rigidity.
The rear lower tie bar connects to the chassis using the two lower control arm bolts that connect the rear LCAs to the chassis.
The H-brace connects pretty much the same way. Good luck.
BTW, once the search function works again, search for those parts and you should be able to find some pictures that will help you get a better idea of how it looks installed and where to install it.

thanks, I see where it needs to be installed. now can I just unbolt teh lcas while the car is sitting on the ground and attach the rear tiebar?? and if I do this will it be difficult toe line the holes back up?

Definately jack the car up and have it on jackstands before attemping any suspension work. You really don't want to have the car collapse on you. Also, it will be easier to take the bolts off with the car in the air.

It's not hard at all to line the holes back up. Although it would be better to have an extra hand to help out. I've done it before myself and it just takes a little pushing.
