throwing IACV code
I still having idle problems. I tried everything. It is a b16b in a 97 hatch. At first it would not stay by it self unless it was warmed up. And then it would idle all messed up between 1000rpm to about 2000rpm. I grounded the iacv direct and now it stays on even when the motor is cold but idles up and down at the idle. it fucked up. I don't know wtf. any ideas..............
clean the screen in the iacv with brake cleaner and follow the procedure to reset your idle.
To reset the idle, reset the ecu and disconnect the sensor connected to the iacv. Set the idle, should be in the 450-550 range for a stock engine. Be sure to have all accessories *OFF*. Now turn headlights and AC on. Idle should jump up about 100rpm or so. Once set correctly, turn off car and reconnect iacv sensor.
Also might want to check the plugs and air filter to make sure that they are in good shape.

I changed out the IACV with an itr one and it still did the same thing. I back in Iraq but will be home in about a month and a 1/2. I will try anything that I haven't tried yet. If it is a wire problem do you know any wires that might cause this problem. thanx
