Throwing CEL 54
Hey guys....I recently did my timing belt last weekend...everything went back on good...lined up correctly...and the motor runs fine...all of a sudden on my way home from work Monday my CEL Came on...checked it when I got home and it was 54...pulled out the haynes manual and it says
54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor
Does anyone know what can be causing this code?....what I can do to fix it?
car is a 2000 civic ex
Lemme know if you need any other info...I'm at work gotta type this up fast....TIA

Re: Throwing CEL 54 (jdm_loser)
I'll do that but somehow I doubt thats it....I did reset the ecu to see if it came back and it did....i took it to honda dealer where my bro works...they hooked it up to the computer and he said it was the primary o2....but somehow i doubt it...
CEL Blinks 5 long 4 short....after honda reset it. sure enough it came right back on

Re: Throwing CEL 54 (hatchi)
update......on my way home the CEL was still on....while driving it started blinking on me and I don't have the computer jumped to check codes....anyone have any idea what this means?
The car is running better then it has in a long time...and I'm kinda scared to drive it for fear something is gonna break.

If the CEL blinks at you, you gotta misfire going on.
If you reset the ECU, does the code come back immediately or after driving for awhile?

Yeah the code comes back after about 20 mins of driving on my way to work. Hasn't blinked since then.
