Default Throttle Cable Question (searched)

I did search, couldnt find the specific question i needed answered.

92 eg cx, stock bottom end with a z6 head/IM. It looked like the throttle cable is a little long for the IM, kinda loose between the mounting bracket and throttle body.

My assumption is that the CX throttle cable is LONGER than the SI cable, is that right?

Is there a way to differentiate between the SI IM and the CX IM? I got the car with this stuff already done to it, i didnt bother nit-picking about stuff like this when i was talking with the kid that sold it to me.

well they shouldnt look the same at all. besides, the only reason why you would need a new throttle cable is if you were trying to give your engine bay a clean look. otherwise it shouldnt effect your performance.

i think i need to adjust the nuts on the adjustment for the throttle cable then. it has some play between the mounting and TB, i know its not supposed to have hardly anything.

Also, i've never seen a cx IM compared to an si IM so io dont know the difference.

its cool man. just adjust the cable and that should be good enought. dont tighten it to much because it will idle higher and vice versa.
