i haven't heard too much about them but i'm thinking the gains are very minimal and not worth the cash. invest elsewhere $.02

Nah, they make a difference on the fuel injected models - like the early EFI mustang 5.0's and such.
Though I agree they're a waste on a civic.

they seem more popular on older carbed v8's where they dont have as good fuel atomization as modern engines do without some intake manifold/head work. there is one i saw in the honda-tuning magazine tapped with nipples for nitrous input, vacuum sources, ect. Looked kinda neat.

That's the way turbo specialties kits run extra fuel.
They keep the stock fuel injectors, but put a throttle body spacer in there where 2 more injectors are, sort of like the supra setup.

Re: (ddd4114)
it depends the set-up. if its a autox/ turbo car then yeah it might help. for a DD warrior with minimal mods its not worth it. id rather get a synthetic oil change
