Those of you with Comptech Set-up *LOOK*
1. those with the ice box in a 99-00 Si, do you have hood clearance issues? seems like my ice box is being forced down when i close the hood.
2. does the car slightly shake or vibrate at partial throttle near 1,750 revs? this happened when i installed my comptech header and air intake (not icebox).

no issues with mine. i have the icebox and it clears perfectly.
as long as you place the icebox mounts in the correct locations, it should fit fine.

yep, the ice box is mounted in the correct locations. 
feel any noticable gains with the intake wrapped?

The vibrations could be from the header's resonance frequency. While most frequencies are canceled in engine design, there are still resonant frequencies for the engine that are transmitted to the exhaust system (I mean just from engine vibration, not vibration from exhaust flow). With just my WS catback, the car didn't vibrate, but you could tell where the exhaust reached resonance (around 3k) from exhaust flow. With my header and high flow cat installed, there are more vibrations, specifically around 1900 rpms. Since bolt/connection didn't change, I attribute this to the resonance of the header. The stock header has more vibration damping due to its thickness and rather bulky construction. The aftermarket header is built for exhaust flow, not necessarily ideal for damping.
Just my thoughts, please correct me if I'm wrong. This is on my D16Y8 also, but application is roughly the same. A rubber spacer at the lower bolt position on the header could solve this vibration problem.

as for the fitment issue and what not i dunno man i have it on my eg with a b18b in it. I had to move my resivor but thats it. IM dumbfounded at how the hood is "pushing the intake downward"

hey there jason.
i checked all the bolts today. from the ones connected to the head (23 ft. lbs.), to the ones at the collector (16 ft. lbs.).
so i guess the header doesnt soak up the vibrations, oh well.
