For those who have done a B swap and are using a SOHC fuel pump
I highly recommend you get yourself a GSR/ITR/B16Si fuel pump..
I just picked up an ITR for 50$ and I've noticed a gain at 7000 rpm +..
It was always on my to-do list. I'm glad I got one..
Just thought I'd let you guys know.. you'll be happier with one.
EDIT:
SkyeC has just informed me that the ITR/GSR are the same fuel pumps.
Sorry for the confusion.

ITR and GSR are the same.
Dyno proven?
Had a fuel pressure drop at 7k+ with the stock pump?
Seat of the pants wishful thinking?

I know this already. We're you talking to me?
I don't know about a fuel pressure drop.. but maybe a lack of pressure. I was thinking of testing them against each other.. but I was anxious to get it in.
Wiring? I didn't do any.. just pull the pump from the bracket and unscrew the ground then swap them. The main plug matched my hatch's. Maybe it's different for other Hondas.
I did have to shorten the fuel line in between the pump and the metal tube. Easy though..

Yes. You said ITR a whole lot. It's not an ITR-specific pump.
Anyway, I'd always been told there is no reason to replace the fuel pump until you see pressure start to fall off because the fuel pump can't keep up with the rest of the system. *shrug*

This little comment just seemed funny to me.
Kind of like a 40 year old being taught the ABC's all over again.
Anyways, I don't have time to dyno a fuel pump or prove it.
The main reason I posted this was because I had previously doubted it when someone told me I would FEEL a gain after I switched to the proper fuel pump. I didn't believe that. Now I do. Cool?

Uh, ok, I'm lost, just clearing that up so other people don't go spending possibly more money on ITR pumps when there are more GSR pumps out there that are cheap.
Sorry big man.

but dont u have to get the fuel pump thats correct for the year in obd terms. like 92-95 civics need to get obd1 gsr fuel pumps 92-95, and 96-98 civics need the 96 and up gsr fuel pumps???

So you're saying the ITR pump is different than the GSR pump, eh? Prove it... Every single person I've ever talked to has said they're the same damn thing.

took my buddy like 20 min its under the rear seat there are 4 screws one plug a banjo bolt and like 6 or 7 bolt and a fuel line to pull off you pull out the old one and slide in the new one and reverse your removal process.
my suggestion is to turn the key to just on dont start it a couple times just so you can suck some fuel into the pump

what about an h22 pump? I have a 98 lude fuel pump sitting here. But my car runs fine with the vx pump.
