For those running stock mufflers on their hatches
I've seen a few threads here and there of people asking what OEM mufflers will fit on the 92-95 and 96-00 civics.
I was hoping anyone who has a stock muffler on their civic could post up the muffler, how well it fits, and on what chassis.
For archives sake.

I am actually looking into this right now. I have 2 inch pipe and I am sick of sounding like a rice boy when I drive down the road. I am leaning towards a a 03ish civic si muffler part # 18030-s5t-A00, a rsx type s muffler part number 18030-s6m-a50 or a 98-99 civic si muffler part number 18030-s04-c90. I am assuming these will all breathe better than the ex and base rsx mufflers. I have 2 inch pipe in the back right now on my 93 ex.

Have you looked into fitment?
I think what's very important in using different mufflers is the canister length and making sure it fits between the LCA and the bumper.

a few mufflers worth looking into:
07+ CRV muffler:
i like it because it isnt big and its flat black with a chrome tip
06+ V6 accord muffler (1)
more oval then the crv muffler and again flat black + chrome tip
06+ Civic Si
sporty sounding oval muffler althogh not flat back
**note**
theese will ALL need a muffler shop to make it fit. and i selected theese because of their bigger stock piping. btw, i work as an apprentice at a honda dealership

Re: (Sleepy_Red_hatch)
I already have 2.25" piping, so i hope that amounts to a better fit.
But did you check the length of the canisters? Fitment between LCA and bumper?

I don't think it requires anything special, just get it cut off at the junkyard and ask a muffler shop to weld it on.

I don't know about the crv or the accord mufflers but I think any of the compacts should fit the coupes. the ej and eks have butts stick out farther than the rsx. can some one get the exact measurement on the rsx-s muffler?
