Thinking J Swap for my 95 Civic EX -- Need some recommendations
Well picked up a 95 civic ex cheap got the motor running good.
Now I want to do a motor swap and I've been reading a little up on j swap, and for the successful ones having nothing to say but the hard work paid off.
I just want to know whats the best J engine swap for my eg. I've been reading that a J35a3 is the best bang for your buck? What are my other options? Can I keep P/S & A/C?If I can keep a/c my civic didn't come with one, so what brackets would I use and what a/c parts should I get?
Also I've been reading something about having to change your clusters?

Not to be a dick but if your asking those questions then your not ready for a j swap....
first of all you have to take into consideration that about almost all of j swaps have the engine sticking out the hood, so you would have to make a cutout for the engine in your hood. I dont know how that would be very streetable.
if you were intrested in doing a good swap, just go k series. If your hell bent on building the monstrosity you need to research on j32a.com

I have been all over j32a.com, but looking for some insight from a HT member with experience in j swapping.
Plus I've been reading that if you cut and mix match the harness? the motor can clear. from j32a.com I'll go try to sort those my saved links for j swap.
Not interested in K what so ever plenty of that out hear.
"No replacement for displacement" right?lol

I've been reading and it looks like there are hoods in the work, but I also read gen 2 mounts from hasport solve the clearance issue, but your ride needs to be factory height and I would be ok with that seeing as I wasn't planing on lowering it.
Set up for far to cover my basics.
J35a4
Tranny of a 03 CL-S 6 speed or a 04-06 TL Sport, 6 speed (LSd comes with)
There is also a 07 TL-S 6 speed, but don't know if it will bolt up? I can get my hands on one right now but I don't want to buy prematurely.
I need suspension ideas, but I've been reading and looks like aftermarket is my best bet.
Doing a GSR conversion for brakes(yuck to drums). or maybe a 5lug well see what the funds allow.
