Hey all, my car is totalled due to some jackass's hit and run, repairs will cost me more then the car is worth so I'm looking for a mostly stock EG. You guys think i can find one for 2k or less? As long as it runs and is in decent shape it's ok, mileage isn't that big of a deal since I'll be swapping the motor after I save for a few months.

well i am not sure if you can get a "Eg" imported and everything for $2000 but you could try. I am sure you can get a "EH2" for under $2000 if you are willing to wait and take your time to look around.


btw just kidding on the eg thing.

Geographic location plays a big part. They aren't TOO outrageous in New England.

You should have no problem finding an EG CX in reasonable shape for under $2k. I was very patient and had a clean 112k mile (at the time) example fall into my hands for a grand. Helps to have friends who work @ car dealers, though

When i got it, well.. it was all $1500 worth of VX... no carpet due to a/c leaking, crappy interior, just over all.. the car was a fixer upper which i was totally ready for..

When i got it.





Now..





Added floor carpet, cleaned up rear seats added del sol seats and new headliner, oh and dash clock.. got some tein springs and some agx shocks.. ssr lca's and some other goodies that still need to go on.. waiting for my HX's from casey.

There are cars out there that just require some TLC for good prices.. just be patient...

the best thing we can tell you is to be patient... i waited for over a year to find my hatch and it ended up being just a shell... you got to wait and look for the good deals... here in wisconsin its hard to find one without rust... if you are in seattle you might have the same problem, but maybe not as bad.. good luck!

I got my 94 vx for 2g and it is mint, runs perfect, shifts perfect, no rust or dents, hell the milage is only 130,xxx

so you should easily be able to find one for less.

i got really lucky too i didn't even have to look really, i went to home depot one day and there it was in the parking lot with a for sale sign

I got my 93 CX for 1,500 in NY.

So, its really not that tough to find them. And, this hatch is pretty much in mint condition too. It was an ABSOLUTE STEAL. Ill probably never find a deal this good EVER again.

But you can find hatches for under 2 grand easy. They just probably wont be in GREAT shape.

oh yeah it matters the miles and like titles also my brother bought his 95 Civic HB CX for $1500 had like 145k miles and salvaged title everything came in it the interior was all clean perfect condition well not perfect only thing that sucked was it had a cigarette burn in the driver seat but its not noticeable when your sitting down....
