Thermal Exuast? WHos got one?

Re: Thermal Exuast? WHos got one? (Hybrid CRX)
Depending on which one you got and if it was just the axleback or a full catback will determine just how loud it is, but my full catback classic setup is loud as hell. Doesn't have that cheap raspy sound that eBay mufflers give but it is noticable. I'll see if I can dig up some pics but the way mine sits, it's perfectly centered in the exhaust cutout and doesn't stick out past the bumper which is always a plus.

I had the full 3 inch version for my turbo setup. It was loud as all hell. I'm not sure which one you are asking about, but if it's the turbo version you'd better not get attached to listening to music while you drive. It's extremely loud. Deep though, not ricey at all. I put a 3 inch dynomax bullet muffler in it too, still LOUD. I had a GSR tranny at the time, so when I drove on the highway, which was usually at around 60-70 mph (about 4-4.5k rpms) it was real loud and annoying. Almost makes you nauseous. I ditched when I got rid of my turbo setup to an Apex WS...ahhhhhh quiet....
But still, it's a good exhaust. The bends were real good and it was designed pretty good. Just a little too loud for my taste.

the stealth system sounds like **** IMO. its raspy and high pitched.
i have a clasic system on my hatch with a gsr motor. its a little loud since i have a 2.5 in header and a test pipe. its not too bad though, im used to it. if you keep the cat it will be a lot deeper sounding, mine screams at wot in vtec. for 50 bucks its one hell of a deal.

3" Thermal. No Cat or resonators. It is loud but very functional since I will be running lots of boost once the motor goes in. I have heard lots of different exhausts over the years and this Thermal is by far my favorite sounding. 3" is just icing on the cake for me.

My friend has the stealth on his 94 GSR and it sounds nice. It is deep but not too loud. Can still listen to music and carry on conversations. I was gonna buy it for my car but ended up getting the WS since I couldn't find the stealth for a good price at the time.
