Default Is there a quality alternative to JDM CTR lights?

I really like the way CTR headlights look and all the DIY versions I havent been to thrilled on. The only thing stopping me from getting them is I see the price tag at 350-450 for a set (on jdm theory and hmotors) and thats a bit for something I'll only enjoy when Im not driving. Is there another route to take to get the look without the price tag? Also do the JDM lights have a better beam pattern then the USDM? Thanks.

basically

you dont want to do DIy which would be 20 buks or less. So if you dont want to DIY, I am sure you dont want to buy the ebay "style" ones....so I would say in your case, it is JDM or bust. I personally like the DIY method and will be buying a spare set of headlights to practice on

YOU'RE WELCOME!

I went through a ton of the Ej8 Squads pages to find that. I knew I had seen it before. Just hadn't saved the link.

Thanks both of you! I was under the impression the CTR headlights were much darker? Like the black version luudog offers?

I dunno....Personally I'd wait til I had the money to get the real deal. Especially if you're really picky when it comes to detail. If money isn't an object, then I'm not sure what's holding you back from having the real thing.

My authentic CTR headlights are quite a bit darker than the ones posted on the blue SI. Those ones just look like stock housing minus the amber reflectors, IMO.

Nopi has a decent set of CTR lights. Got them for my 97 ex, the lights look great, blacked out backing, and don't leak.

nothings wrong with DIY. I'm planning on doing it soon too. This guy just wanted some replicas to look into cause he didn't want to DIH (himself). So I recommend some.

No prob on the link. Anytime.

Yeah for $450 a set, id rather DIY with some charcoal paint, or buy $110 blackhousings that way I know my beams point on the right side of the road.

Even the aftermarket lights are fine. If you are really worried about haze, run a bead of silicone around the outside of the headlight where the housing seals together.
