check engine light. when mine went bad, I was driving down the road, and came to a stop light and my car shut off completely.

when my o2 sensor went bad, all i was getting was code 1. but my car never shut off on me.

well mine are bad but my car still runs. my o2 guage dont work now but its all good got 2 new ones on the way.

if the light stays on when restarting the car u have a problem.
if the light goes off on restarting its the oxygen sensor...it just needs replacing which is very easy can be brought for a fraction of the price at a motor factor, and can be done in 10mins!
when mine went the main problem was that my acceleration would be jumpy and not smooth through the revs due to too much air, or not enough air getting to the engine.
hope that is of some help.
if the light goes off on restarting its the oxygen sensor...it just needs replacing which is very easy can be brought for a fraction of the price at a motor factor, and can be done in 10mins!

primary reads air intake , secondary reads exhaust..if the primary sensor goes out ur ecu will think there s too much air and flood ur motor with too much gas..if ur exhaust sensor goes out light will come on and the the ecu will think ur burning real clean exhaust..either way ur going to get a read light coming on

flood ur motor with too much gas..if ur exhaust sensor goes out light will come on and the the ecu will think ur burning real clean exhaust..either way ur going to get a read light coming on

Check engine light comes on for me...rough as hell idle...border line turning off but never happened once...unfortunately for my 95 ex...i need a new (used) exhaust mani w/ sensor since you can't get it out
