theft attempt in West Palm Beach
Today I went out to my car and I hop in to go see what the surf is like out on Reef Road when I see my passenger window looks like stained glass from church. When I deactivated my alarm today it gave me 3 beeps instead of 2 for unlock. It appears that someone last night tried busting it out but my alarm must of went nuts. Thankfully the tint held all of the glass so I didnt have a mess in the car. The car wasnt stolen than God.
I talked to security for our campus and three other cars were broken into. Also a car was stolen the same night from our "Secured parking garage" that we have to pay 75.00 dollars a semester to use. Supposedly security has the guys on video.
Keep an eye on your car boys.

yeah it sucks. I play soccer here and I love the area but they are ****** about lot of the rules. We have to pay to park at a school thats 21,000. That is getting raped without any lubrication.
Hey vtec do you know of any places that does window replacement and tint???

Same thing happened to me at my school. Got a call @ 7 am from university police saying that my car was broken into. They didn't steal anything, alarm must scared em away. But it was worse for me, cause my tint held the window together and it put huge scratch on the door. But, that's what insurance is for...
Sucks to hear though...

i have no idea, i was not notified by the security. I found out when i walked to my car today. I then asked security and they said someone had their car stolen and 3 other cars were broken into. Im pissed and my insurance will cover it but I have to pay a 250 deductible. A great way to start off the weekend.

Is 240.00 a good price for someone to replace a window? That is everything labor, parts, etc.

Try a junk yard there are a few around West Palm... A few weeks back a friend and I actually walked out on someone breaking into his car... there was nothing in the car but a box of soap.... the guy broke the passenger side window when he could have just opened the door the car was unlocked... needless to say the next day we went to a junk yard and got a window for 20 bucks... I believe it was the one on benoist farms road... good luck

Do you have insurance? Mine was $240, but I only had to pay my $100 deductible. To the guy the fixed his own; I did that w/ my EF after it was broken into, but the window track got fuxored when they broke the window, so it doesn't roll up right. It's better to pay a professional IMO.

Get a window from a junk yard. You can do it yourself. It's REALLY easy. Pop the door panel off, cut some slits in the plastic liner, use a 10mm and an extension, undo the bolt holding the window in, and do everything in reverse putting the "new" one in. 30 minutes tops.

Re: (IslandSi)
I know its easy to replace, I just hate lining all the clips up back on the door. All of the replacement pieces I have called about are around 125 for the glass alone but I will do it tomarrow. I will try the junk yards first. Thanks for the help guys.
